Little Lion Man

FOR SALE
$55

I picked this table up at a yard sale, like most things. I loved the lion heads on it, and the small metal wheels! What neat little details! Maintaining that and being sure they stood out, I went with a luxurious creamy white and antiqued the edges so the detail of the frame would really show.

Chandelier Dresser

I went for broke on this dresser. I actually have a client that's been playing with the idea of scrollwork on her pieces, so I took the opportunity to test it out. I freehanded the template design and cut it like you would a paper snowflake to make a symmetrical stencil. I then ragged it onto the surface. I antiqued the entire dresser with a glaze, moving along with a dry brush and blending (I was top blender in art school, haha, not to toot my own horn . . .)

I think this turned out far better than anything I've done so far. I love it immensely!!

Antiqued China Hutch

This was a very large undertaking but I am very excited with the results. I painted this an antique white then I lightly antiqued it with a brown glaze. Amazing transformation. Check out the before and after page to witness the transformation.

Antiqued White Dresser

This was an antique store find. It is a very solid dresser with great construction. I used a special walnut stain on the top with an antique white color on the body and then went back and antiqued the entire thing.

Gorgeous Teal End Table

This is a two drawer teal end table. This color just looks so great, and really accents the lines on this table.

Antique Vanity

SOLD

This was an estate piece that has been sitting, waiting patiently in my garage for a key since early August. I painted it white and antiqued it with both sanding and painting. The piece as a whole turned out super well. I love the triptych beveled mirror, truly the best part!

King Louis Progress Update . . .

So, this is a progress pic, not a done pic, but I was so excited I had to share! I got all the velvet tacked onto the frame of my antique Louis chair this morning while my parents packed for their trip home (they were also keeping an eye on my one year old so I had the chance to do this!). The velvet was bought from Mood as I posted before, but comes from Belgium and you can really see the sheen in it. I won't even admit the price on that kind of quality! All that's left is black velvet for the seat back and 9 yards of piping for the raw edges.

Quite the overhaul!

If you're local, don't be afraid to put dibs on it! This chair will be available for sale in the coming days.
King Louis chairs like this are RARE!

Blue Grey Dresser

I love this color! This was a dresser that needed minor structural help. I ended up using a stain paint for the top which doesn't allow the grain of the wood to show through, and then used a blue grey color for the body. I then sprayed some drawer pulls with an iron rubbed bronze spray.

Ye Old Rocker

FOR SALE

Got this rocker from a really really nice couple. I've been waiting for a good rocker to come along so that I could fix it up with a nursery in mind. I used zero VOC paint and primer to make it free of chemicals, and the color is super cute for a boy!

The Grand Queen Anne Dresser

COMMISSION

I stripped, refinished and added a very dark brown stain on the top before priming, painting, and antiqueing the entire body (except the very interior to maintain the ease of which the drawers moved.) This beauty was a bear to do, but in the end a real treat for the eyes! And a delight! What a feat, and it feels great! SO sad to see it leave my garage, but it will love it's new home!
